On February 7, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received renowned historian, Armenologist, correspondent of the archives of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun and editor Yervant Pamboukian and Editor-in-Chief of Aztag Daily Shahan Kanaharian.
Chaired by Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, the Government continued discussing public agency performance reports for 2016, including their compliance with the government’s action plan, priorities and assessed performance.
On February 6, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan held a consultation with Deputy Ministers Serzh Srapionyan and Vahagn Melikyan, Chief of Staff of the RA Ministry of Diaspora Firdus Zakaryan, the director of the “Homeland-Diaspora Center” SNCO, as well as heads of departments and divisions.
On February 2, the RA Ministry of Diaspora hosted a meeting with several repatriates living in Armenia. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the “Repatriates: The Returnees” week-long program.
On February 1, within the scope of the week-long events devoted to repatriates and organized by the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan, Head of the Department for Armenian Communities in the Near East and the Middle East Levon Antonyan and several employees of the Ministry visited the Armenian Catholic Church in Yerevan where nearly 600 Syrian-Armenians have taken shelter since the crisis began in Syria. Currently, there are 47 Syrian-Armenians living in the guest house near the Church.
