Division of Social Issues and Economic Projects

The Division of Social Issues and Economic Projects of the Department of Pan-Armenian Programs of the RA Ministry of Diaspora

-organizes meetings, conferences, forums, festivals and joint events in the spheres of society and economy in Armenia and the Diaspora and ensures the cooperation with state authorized bodies and local self-government bodies in those spheres,

-contributes to the establishment and development of relations between economic organizations of the Diaspora, individuals working in the sphere of economy and the corresponding individuals and organizations of Armenia

-ensures the participation of public figures of the Diaspora in state and public initiatives of Armenia, as well as discussions, events and projects for issues of pan-Armenian significance,

-assists in the participation of Diaspora Armenian entrepreneurs in economic projects of the Republic of Armenia for the economic development of the Republic of Armenia and the strengthening of regional and international competitiveness, as well as coordinates the efforts of Diaspora Armenian businessmen aimed at developing tourism and the events organized by them,

-within limits of competence, the division contributes to the implementation of the agreement on “Partnership and Cooperation” signed by the Republic of Armenia and the European Union

and the Armenia-European Union plan of actions within the framework of the “New European Neighborhood” program,

-ensures the preparation of drafts of legal acts, proposals, conclusions and other documents on functions and objectives of the division, as well as clarifications and guidelines,

-holds receptions for citizens and receives necessary information and materials regarding the implementation of functions and objectives of the division from other bodies and officials,

-within the framework of its powers, the division prepares proposals, references, statements, letters of commendation, reports and other records and presents reports on state of services by the division’s corresponding bodies and officials’ activities.
