GRIGOR M. ARSHAKYAN

Grigor M. Arshakyan was born on October 27, 1982 in Yerevan.

In 1999 he graduated from the N 10 School after Khrimyan Hayrik in Yerevan.

In 2005 he graduated from Yerevan State University with an MA in International Relations.

In 2005-20098 he studied for his PhD at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the RA National Academy of Sciences.

In 2008 he defended his dissertation within the framework of an investigation on Turkey’s policy in the South Caucasus (1991-2001) and was ranked candidate of historical sciences.

He is an author of nearly 20 scientific articles and speeches.

He has been a lecturer at the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at YSU. Continuing his investigations, Grigor Mikayelyan is preparing for his doctoral dissertation on Turkey’s policy in the region.

In January 2009 he was appointed functioning head of the division of investigations of the department of repatriation and investigations of the RA Ministry of Diaspora. He is not married.
