Division of Culture, Sports and Youth Programs

The division contributes to the development and implementation of the strategy on cultural development within the framework of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership for radicalization and preservation of national identity in Armenian communities; develops and coordinates pan-Armenian cultural, sports and youth programs.

The division:

-assists in ensuring the Armenia-Diaspora partnership, preservation of Armenian identity, spiritual unity of the Armenian nation, creation of the Armenian spiritual-cultural world, as well as the creation of conditions favoring development of Armenian culture, youth and sports,

-identifies the key issues of pan-Armenian significance relating to development of Armenian culture, youth and sports in the Diaspora,

-analyzes, develops and proposes solutions to those issues; participates in the development and implementation of the strategy on development of Armenian culture, youth and sports in the Diaspora,

-assists in the planning and implementation of traditional pan-Armenian cultural, youth and sports events,

-ensures the organizing of cultural and youth meetings, conferences, forums and joint events in Armenia and the Diaspora and the cooperation with state authorized bodies and local self-government bodies in those spheres,

-contributes to the establishment and development of relations between individuals working in cultural, youth and athletic organizations and the corresponding organizations and individuals in Armenia,

-ensures the participation of notable individuals of culture, youth and sports of the Diaspora in the state and public initiatives of Armenia, as well as the discussions, events and projects regarding issues of state and pan-Armenian significance,

-contributes to the establishment and development of relations between Diaspora Armenians working in cultural, youth and athletic organizations and the corresponding individuals and organizations of Armenia, the preservation of Armenian identity, as well as the preservation, development and dissemination of Armenian cultural heritage,

-completes analyses and proposes new programs for issues relating to culture, youth and sports in the Diaspora,

-participates in organizing publication of collections, leaflets and periodicals.
