Division of Relations with Armenian Communities of South America and Australia

The Division of Relations with Armenian Communities of South America and Australia of the Department of Armenian Communities of the Americas of the RA Ministry of Diaspora develops informative programs about Armenian communities of South America and Australia; proposes projects for collaboration between the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian communities of South America and Australia and contributes to project implementation.

The division

-prepares annual programs, organizes and holds cultural, educational, youth, economic and sports meetings, festivals, conferences and other joint events in Armenian communities of South America and Australia.

-One of the main objectives of the division is to support the preservation and dissemination of Armenian cultural heritage in the Armenian community of Australia.

-The division organizes mutual visits and meetings and receptions for individual representatives of the Armenian communities of the Americas and members of the department and ensures their participation in different meetings and other events. The division also ensures the involvement of individual representatives, organizations and institutions of Armenian communities of South America and Australia in Armenian programs, as well as assists in their integration into the social, political and economic life of the respective countries.

-The division ensures the participation in urgent processes and state of affairs relating to the field of activity; prepares drafts of legal acts, as well as proposals, conclusions and other documents and develops corresponding guidelines for the division’s functions. The division ensures the timely discussion of letters, appeals, suggestions and complaints relating to the field of activity, as well as prepares proposals, references, statements, reports and other records within the competence of the department.
