LUSINE A. STEPANYAN
Lusine A. Stepanyan was born in Yerevan.
Lusine graduated from the middle school after N. Stepanyan in Yerevan.
In 1999 she graduated from the Iranian Studies department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Yerevan State University with a degree in Middle Eastern languages (Persian) and literature.
In 2002 she graduated from the PhD department of Oriental Studies at the RA National Academy of Sciences with a degree in Contemporary History of Iran.
In 2000 Lusine was on probation at the Department of International Relations of the RA Ministry of Health.
In 2000-2002 she worked as a translator-editor for the working group in charge of developing working guidelines for family doctors of the office of health project implementation of the World Bank under the RA Ministry of Health
She has been working as a senior laboratory assistant and then associate researcher at the Iranian department of the Institute of Oriental Studies at the RA National Academy of Sciences since 2002.
Lusine has been working as head of the division of relations with pan-Armenian and international organizations of the department of relations with pan-Armenian, international and church organizations of the RA Ministry of Diaspora since April 2009. She also works as a researcher at the Iranian Department of the Institute of Oriental Studies at the RA National Academy of Sciences.
On August 3, 2009 Lusine Stepanyan was appointed in her office after winning the civil service contest.
In July 2004 she took part in seminars of social and religious sciences organized by the Summer School of the European Central University.
In 2002-2008 she participated in the state and international sittings for young experts in oriental studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies at the RA National Academy of Sciences.
In 2009 she defended her dissertation entitled “Reza Shah Pahlavi’s domestic policy in Iran (1925-1941)”.
Lusine Stepanyan is married and has two children.
