Visits
From November 16 to 17, 2008, the RA Minister of Diaspora paid a working visit to the Brazilian city of San Paolo where she had meetings with representatives of the Armenian Apostolic, Catholic and Evangelical Churches, participated in the mass served by leader of the Brazilian-Armenian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Tatev Gharibian, which was followed by a reception at the diocese.
On November 13, 2008, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan visited Montevideo, Uruguay. During her visit, the Minister had working meetings and held multifaceted discussions aimed at strengthening and further deepening of relations between Armenia and the Diaspora with organizations of the Armenian community of Uruguay, visited community structures, including the St. Nerses Shnorhali Church, the elders’ home of the Armenian Relief Society, Vramian Club and laid flowers near the monument located at Armenia Square.
From November 8 to 12, 2008, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan was on a working visit to Argentina as chairperson of the Armenia Chapter of the Armenian International Women’s Association (AIWA). She took part and spoke during the ensuing congress of the organization.
From November 1 to 7, 2008, Chief of Staff of the RA Ministry of Diaspora Artak Zakaryan paid a visit to Greece.
From October 4 to 7, 2008, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan took part in the 85th General Assembly of the Armenian General Benevolent Union in Aleppo during which she made a speech presenting the perspectives for development of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership.
RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin where she met with His Holiness, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II and bishops of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Armenia.
