On July 11, within the framework of the first “Armenia. Create Together” youth forum for students and alumni of the world’s top universities (organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora, in association with the Armenian General Benevolent Union, Luys Foundation and Ayb Foundation), Vardanants Medical Center hosted the meeting of the telemedicine group of the “Medicine and Health” Atelier formed under the auspices of Luys Foundation with young students and professionals from different countries. During the meeting, doctor of the Center for Plastic Rehabilitative Surgery and Microsurgery of Clinical Hospital #1 of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, candidate of medical sciences, plastic surgeon Gevorg Yaghjyan gave his opening remarks.
July 6th marked the grand opening ceremony of the 2016 “Diaspora” Summer School Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora at the Large Hall of Yerevan State University. The summer school program is jointly carried out with Yerevan State University.
On May 24, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan had a meeting with members of the affiliates of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund at the RA Ministry of Diaspora.
On December 18, the RA Ministry of Diaspora launched the conference on “The Denial of the Armenian Genocide in the Context of the Neo-Ottomanism Ideology” at the round sessions hall of the chairmanship of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
On November 27, the RA Ministry of Diaspora, the Union of Armenians of Russia, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and “Imast” (Meaning) Armenian Youth Association of Nizhni Novgorod launched the Second Pan-Armenian Youth Forum entitled “Future”.
Respectable Mr. Ambassador, Mr. Alexander, representatives of state, political and municipal authorities and clergymen, thank you for providing me with this opportunity.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Ministry of Diaspora. I am pleased with the fact that the ARS Central Committee and the Ministry of Diaspora decided to hold such a conference, and I believe it is symbolic in that today, as we approach the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, Armenian women have come together to discuss the role of Armenian women during and after the Armenian Genocide. We all know that Armenian women are the basis of the Armenian family. They are the pillar on which “Armenianness is built”.
On January 23, the manuscripts and antique books that Aleppo-Armenian Sosseh Baronian had contributed to the RA Ministry of Diaspora were transferred to the Main Manuscript Archives of Armenia during a solemn ceremony held at the small hall of the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran) of Yerevan.
RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan gave a speech at the solemn opening and consecration ceremony of the cross-stone dedicated to the memory of the last Armenian King Levon V, the fighters who died in the battle for the liberation of France and the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide in the Lusignan city of Poitoi State in France.
