The Sahak-Mesrop Choir in Marseilles gave a concert dedicated to the 20th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Armenia at Komitas Chamber Music Hall in Yerevan. The concert was organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora.
On October 11, the solemn ceremony summing up the results of the annual awards for best creative and scientific works organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora, the World Armenian Congress and the Union of Armenians of Russia was held at the grand hall of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received the delegation of the World Armenian Congress (WAC) and the Union of Armenians of Russia (UAR) led by Ara Abrahamyan.
On October 11, the solemn opening of the 4th Conference of Armenian Foreign Language Writers was held at the Writers’ Union of Armenia. The conference is organized by the RA Ministries of Diaspora and Culture, the Writers’ Union of Armenia, the World Armenian Congress (WAC) and the Union of Armenians of Russia (UAR).
On October 11, a roundtable discussion on “The Contribution of the Mekhitarist Congregation in Vienna to the Development of Armenology” was held at the sessions hall of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. The discussion was held within the framework of the international conference devoted to the 200th anniversary of the Mekhitarist Congregation in Vienna organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora and with the participation of the NAS Institute of History and the Mekhitarist Congregation.
On October 10, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received founding director of the choir of the St. Sahak-St. Mesrop Holy Translators in Marseilles Khachik Yilmazian and Vice-President of Marseilles Chapter of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations in France, member of the AGBU Marseilles Chapter Jack Donabedian.
