On September 1, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received member of the “Hokis” Armenian-Spanish Association of Madrid Khachatur Sarkisian and teachers of the elementary and high school classes at the one-day Armenian school, Mariam and Julieta Hayrapetian.

The one-day Armenian school of Madrid was founded in 2006 by “Hokis” Association with nearly 60 students currently enrolled at the school. The association has also founded a youth association with nearly 80 Armenian youth of Madrid. The association also organizes many events, including film screenings, analysis of historical facts and more.

During the meeting, the sides discussed education and culture in the Armenian community of Madrid and other issues. Minister Hranush Hakobyan assigned to provide textbooks, instructional materials and curricula to the one-day school.
