Medals of the RA Ministry of Diaspora


By the N222-L decree signed by RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan on 2009 December 24, the “RA Ministry of Diaspora Gold Medal”, as well as “William Saroyan”, “Nubar Pasha”, “Komitas” and “Arshil Gorky” Medals have been created to stimulate individuals and organizations for implementing projects in different spheres for development of Armenia-Diaspora partnership, contributing to further development of partnership and assisting in the preservation of the Armenian identity.


The “RA Ministry of Diaspora Gold Medal” is granted to those providing notable services for Armenia-Diaspora partnership, making contributions to the strengthening of relations between Armenia and the Diaspora and the relations within Diaspora Armenian communities, achievements in educating and disciplining the young generation of Armenians, raising Armenia’s reputation and contributing to acknowledgement of the country through professional activities, implementing national-public activities and making great contributions to the preservation of Armenian identity.



The Ministry’s “William Saroyan” Medal is granted for contributing to the dissemination of Armenian culture in the Diaspora, prominent achievements in the sphere, developing Armenia-Diaspora partnership through creative activities and making great contributions to the strengthening of relations between Armenia and the Diaspora and relations within Diaspora Armenian communities.



The Ministry’s “Poghos Nubar” medal is granted for implementing public and benevolent activities in Armenia and the Diaspora, providing special services for preservation of the Armenian identity, strengthening practical ties between the Republic of Armenia and the Diaspora, solving scientific, educational, healthcare, athletic and cultural issues in the Armenian communities and making great contributions within the framework of the development of Armenia-Diaspora partnership.



The Ministry’s “Komitas” Medal is granted for disseminating Armenian arts in the Diaspora, high-level creativity and performance in the sphere and for making considerable contributions to the development of Armenia-Diaspora partnership through activities.



The Ministry’s “Arshil Gorky” Medal is granted for disseminating fine arts, painting, sculpture and drawing, achieving success in the sphere, disseminating and raising awareness of Armenian arts in the Diaspora and making great contributions to the development of Armenia-Diaspora partnership through activities.

 

 

 

 

The Ministry's ''Ambassador of Native Language'' Medal is granted for making notable contributions to preservation of the purity of the Armenian language and for providing significant services for the development of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership.

 

 

 


Established by the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the Mekhitarist Congregation in Venice, the Hakob Meghapart Medal is granted for making considerable contributions to the field of Armenian studies in the Diaspora, publishing books and carrying out typographical  activities, as well as for promoting the development and strengthening of partnership between Armenia and the Diaspora in the field of Armenology. 

 

 

 

The Gold Commemorative Medal of the RA Ministry of Diaspora is granted to individuals or organizations  for the development of  the Armenia-Diaspora partnership, the services provided to the homeland and the Diaspora, for strengthening relations  between the Armenian communities of the Diaspora and the homeland, making notable contributions to  the  preservation of the Armenian identity, carrying out large-scale programs and projects in various fields, supporting  compatriots in emergency situations,  as well as for carrying out social and charitable activities.

 

Certificate of Honor and the Certificate of Appreciation of the RA Ministry of Diaspora

 

The Certificate of Honor is awarded to individuals and organizations having made great contributions to the development of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership in various fields, stimulating the development of further partnership.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Certificate of Appreciation is awarded for implementing and supporting to programs and projects aimed at developing the Armenia-Diaspora partnership  in various fields, promoting further development the title “Ari Tun” and for  encouraging individuals and organizations to assist in  the preserveof the partnership, participating in the “Diaspora Armenian Youth’s Visits to Armenia” Program underthe Armenian identity.

On July 11, within the framework of the first “Armenia. Create Together” youth forum for students and alumni of the world’s top universities (organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora, in association with the Armenian General Benevolent Union, Luys Foundation and Ayb Foundation), Vardanants Medical Center hosted the meeting of the telemedicine group of the “Medicine and Health” Atelier formed under the auspices of Luys Foundation with young students and professionals from different countries. During the meeting, doctor of the Center for Plastic Rehabilitative Surgery and Microsurgery of Clinical Hospital #1 of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, candidate of medical sciences, plastic surgeon Gevorg Yaghjyan gave his opening remarks.
