The goals and objectives of the Department of Repatriation and Investigations are:

1. To study and gather the legal acts or legislation on repatriation of other countries,
2. To develop a united state policy on repatriation, participate in the supervision and    implementation of the policy and develop programs promoting repatriation for the development of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership,
3. To organize and coordinate investigations in Armenian communities,
4. To ensure participation of Diaspora Armenians in Armenian programs, as well as social, political, scientific, educational and cultural events,
5. To identify and analyze key issues of organizing repatriation, as well as develop and propose methods for solution to the issues,
6. To participate in developing and implementing the united state policy on repatriation,
7. To develop and implement repatriation programs for Armenians speaking a foreign language and with a foreign belief,
8. To establish contacts with Diaspora Armenian communities and organizations in the corresponding sphere and plan joint projects,
9. To coordinate investigations on issues concerning repatriation by other state bodies and educational institutions,
10. To conduct and analyze investigations on Diaspora Armenian communities;/ reveal issues and needs; plan and present corresponding documents on forming project proposals,
11. To participate in organizing and implementing programs promoting repatriation,
12. To support Diaspora Armenians in obtaining dual citizenship and develop bills for legal documents on repatriation.
