The Department of Relations with Pan-Armenian, International and Church Organizations of the staff of the RA Ministry of Diaspora coordinates the collaboration between the Armenian Apostolic Church of the Republic of Armenia and religious organizations of the Diaspora, as well as investigates and analyzes religious events taking place in the Diaspora.

For the purposes of implementing its goals and objectives, the department carries out the following functions according to the order established by RA legislation and the Ministry’s charter:

-develops and investigates the programs on pan-Armenian, international and church organizations in collaboration with other structural subdivisions of the Ministry

-establishes contacts and prepares joint programs with Armenian communities of the Diaspora, church dioceses and organizations,

-participates in the process of annual program budgeting based on the analyses of issues related to the sphere of activity and suggestions,

-conducts investigations on Armenian communities of the Diaspora; compiles and presents corresponding documents on identification of analysis, issues and needs and proposals,

-develops and implements advocacy programs in communities in collaboration with other departments of the Ministry,

-ensures strong ties and cooperation between the Armenian Apostolic Church of Armenia and Diaspora Armenian religious organizations,

-holds receptions, mutual visits, discussions of issues with representatives of pan-Armenian, international and church organizations,

-assists in the preservation of Armenian identity, preservation, development and dissemination of Armenian culture of the pan-Armenian, international and church organizations within the powers of the departemnt,

-prepares drafts of legal acts, suggestions, conclusions and other documents in line with the functions and objectives of the department, as well as develops methodological clarifications and guidelines regarding those issues.

Upcoming projects

-ensure the continuation of studies aimed at preservation of spiritual-cultural values in the territory of Georgia

-convene and hold joint sessions with the Armenian Apostolic Church

-organize discussions with the theme “The role and significance of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the Diaspora”

-prepare information that analyzes the current state of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem

-organize the reunion of Diaspora Armenian graduates of Armenian universities in 1957-1977

-conduct historical research on Armenian cultural-spiritual values in Europe and their statuses

-prepare and implement joint projects with international organizations in Armenia

-develop annual programs for organizing and holding seminars and scientific conferences dedicated to different spheres in the Diaspora.
