Functions of the department:
The department carries out its activities within the framework of the Ministry’s ongoing and long-term projects.
The Department carries out the following functions according to the order established by RA legislation and the Ministry’s Charter to implement its goals and objectives:
-analyzes activities of news organizations and conducts expert evaluation of public opinion
-collaborates with mass media outlets, political, professional, religious, research, cultural, women’s, children’s, teen, veteran and other clubs and non-governmental organizations of Armenia and the Diaspora; shows assistance to Diaspora Armenian organizations in establishing relations with RA Ministries and services and vice versa,
-provides PR for official events with the participation of the Minister and Deputy Ministers
-prepares materials and releases for mass media outlets on behalf of the Minister
-prepares press conferences, briefings and informative meetings; collects and works on the information for the meetings,
-collaborates with corresponding services of other state bodies, as well as services in charge of media and public relations of the Diaspora.
-plans events to shed light on the Ministry’s programs; raises public awareness and establishes relations between systems of information.
