Congratulations

On behalf of myself and the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, I would like to congratulate the solemn opening of the Armenian monument at the Belgian Banneux N.D. sanctuary.

Dear Galstians, allow me to convey my warm greetings and congratulate you on your pro-Armenian initiative and leaving the Armenian imprint in the history of the Armenian Diaspora for all times. This event is truly of special significance for the Armenian community of Belgium. Cross-stones have been transferred from generation to generation. They record the history of Armenians and are a relic for reinforcing Armenians’ hope and faith and keeping Armenian religion and culture alive in the hearts of Armenians. I am certain that this monument will also serve as an oratory for many believers and leave its trace in this beautiful sanctuary which has become a place of pilgrimage for numerous Christians. The idea of having an Armenian corner here proves the existence of the Armenian nation, the preservation of Armenian spiritual values which are highly appreciated by the RA Ministry of Diaspora and all Armenians. This pro-Armenian initiative is the evidence of the tendency to preserve the identity of Armenians living outside the homeland, the indication of adding to the longing of our fellow Armenians and the most brilliant proof of establishment of friendly ties between Armenia and Belgium.
