Congratulations

Dear compatriots, 

I congratulate all of us on the 20th anniversary of the Armenian Army. It is a day that we celebrate as a nation with pride, enthusiasm and love since it was the result of the sufferings and struggle of the Armenian generals and soldiers that granted us freedom and independence.

 
For twenty years, we have been able to develop, advance, receive international recognition because of our secure borders. 
 
Armenian soldiers have always defended the land and the homeland. Their struggle was a just and patriotic struggle, and they won. I think the Armenian Army can give a counterattack to any enemy at any given moment because our spirit, force and will are powerful, because the gene of Great Hayk, Vardan and our Armenian fedayins (freedom fighters) is within us, because our soldiers are the descendants of the soldiers that won the battles of Sardarabad, Bash-Aparan and Gharakilisa. 
 
Today, I appeal to, first and foremost, Armenian mothers, our dear, tender Armenian women who are the columns of the Armenian family. Dear mothers, we thank you for giving birth to and educating such boys, some of which died for the Homeland, the defense of Armenia and Artsakh, and today, we bow in memory of those eagles, those strong and mighty boys who died, but became eternal and sacrificed their lives for Armenia and Artsakh. 
 
I would like to express my gratitude to the boys who came from the Diaspora and served in the Armenian Army, the boys who were able to leave everything behind, who sacrificed their lives in the trenches, who came, took weapons and defended our homeland along with the Armenians of Armenia and Artsakh. Some of them died, became heroes for the Homeland and Armenia. Glory and honor to them. 
 
I would also like to address our commanders who set an example for our soldiers with their examples, dedication, literacy and level of organization. 
 
We believe in you. We take pride in you, dear soldiers, officers, generals and commanders. We believe that the peace and stability of the Armenian people, Armenia and Artsakh are first and foremost conditioned by the strong, efficient Armenian Army. 
 
May our army continue to enhance its skills and capabilities. May the power and courage, will and determination be with our soldiers, and may they always dedicate themselves to serving our country and our state. 


Glory to the Armenian Army, which was formed throughout the decades! I am certain that the army will continue to increase its efficiency and remain the most powerful army of the region.
