On July 2, the international conference on “100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide: borderline for establishment of justice” organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the World Armenian Congress was held at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
On April 25, the RA Ministry of Diaspora launched a two-day scientific workshop on “Preservation of Features of Armenian Identity in Mixed Marriages”.
On April 20, an international conference on cultural genocide was organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute of the National Academy of Sciences.
On October 29, over 320 cardiologists from Russia, France, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Israel, Lebanon, Armenia and Artsakh participated in the Euro Caucasian Congress of Cardiology held under the initiative of the RA Ministry of Diaspora, “Health Action France-Armenia”, under the patronage of RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and with support from the RA Ministry of Health.
The RA Ministry of Diaspora organized the first Pan-Armenian Forum of Lawyers on September 18-21, 2009 with over 70 Diaspora Armenian lawyers from 17 countries, including 9 lawyers from Artsakh and 62 from the Republic of Armenia.
On December 12-14, 2008 the RA Ministry of Diaspora, the RA National Academy of Sciences, Yerevan State University and “Noravank” Foundation held a conference entitled “The 1946-1948 Repatriation and its Lessons: The Issue of Repatriation Today” in Tsakhkadzor.
