ARMAN S. YEGHIAZARYAN
Arman S. Yeghiazaryan was born on September 21, 1977 in Hrazdan.
He began his studies at the N 1 and later the N11 middle schools.
In 1994 he moved from Hrazdan to Yerevan and was accepted to the Faculty of History of Yerevan State University. He studied in the department of international relations of the Faculty of History of YSU which later became a separate faculty.
In 1999 he graduated from the faculty of international relations of YSU with honors.
In 1999-2001 he served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.
In 2003-2006 he was a contender at the Department of Armenian History of the Faculty of History of YSU.
In 2006 he defended his candidate dissertation entitled “Armenia police (historical-geographical study)” and received the scientific ranking of candidate of historical sciences.
In 2005-2008 he worked as a researcher at the “Laboratory of Armenia’s history, geography and mapping” at the Philological Faculty of YSU. He is an author of nearly 40 scientific articles, some analyses and several maps of Armenia’s history.
In 2007 he published the Armenian translations of sections relating to Armenia and neighboring countries of two works by Arab historian and expert in geography of the Faculty of History at YSU with his introduction, translation and notes.
Arman has been a doctorate of the Armenian history department at the faculty of history at YSU. He is preparing his doctoral dissertation on “Dominance of Armenian Bagratuni” (historical-geographical study)”.
In 2006-2007 he lectured at the “Ararat” humanitarian university of Armavir and the humanitarian university of Hrazdan.
Arman Yeghiazaryan has been lecturing at the Faculty of Diaspora Studies of YSU.
In September-October 2008 he was employed on a contractual basis to work on repatriation, Armenian studies and investigations at the State Committee on Relations with the Diaspora of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has been working at the RA Ministry of Diaspora since October 2008.
In November 2008 he was appointed functioning head of the Department of Repatriation and Investigations of the RA Ministry of Diaspora.
In July 2009 he won the contest for the office of Head of Department of Repatriation and Investigations.
