KAMO A. SARGSYAN

Kamo A. Sargsyan was born on December 20, 1949 in Goris.

In 1972 he graduated from the Faculty of Technical Cybernetics of the K. Marx Polytechnic Institute of Yerevan as a qualified engineer of electronic meters.

In 1972-1973 he worked as an engineer at the “Agat” branch of Yerevan of the Soviet Institute of Investigations.

In 1973-1978 he worked as a senior engineer at the division of physics and technologies in Goris.

In 1978-1980 he worked as head of the sector and senior researcher at the division of physics and technologies of the “IREA” Soviet Institute of Investigations.

In 1980-1983 he was a senior researcher at the “Structural Investigations” laboratory of the same division.

In 1983-1987 he worked as vice-director at the Goris factory of the Ministry of Local Industry and deputy chief of the “Zangezur” production unit in Goris.

In 1987-1991 he worked as head of the department of production of the RA Ministry of Domestic Services in Goris.

In 1991-1994 he worked as director of the state enterprise for domestic service of Goris of the RA Ministry of Trade, Industry and Services.

In 1997-2002 he was director of the sister company of domestic services of the “Syunikarspas” state enterprise in Goris.

In 2002-2008 he worked as chief expert at the department of control of lists and registration of the staff of the RA Civil Service Council.

Kamo Sargsyan has been working as head of the division of relations with pan-Armenian, international and church organizations of the staff of the RA Ministry of Diaspora since December 2008.

1979 - Sargsyan gave a dissertation at the Institute of Studies of Crystals after Shubnikov in Moscow.

1979 and 1981 - speeches dedicated to structural studies on liquid crystals during international conferences in Halle, Germany and Tbilisi, Georgia.

1991-1995 - Deputy of the municipal council of Goris.

1995-1999 - Elder of the Goris municipal council.

He is married and has three sons.
